Daisy Lane Friend

When going to OnStage Stampin' Up! always spoils us demonstrators with lots of goodies. In April every attendee received the Daisy Lane stamp set. The stamps coordinate with the Daisy punch from the current catalog. I had so much fun playing with that set. I was also lucky enough to get the new Birch background stamp as a prize patrol gift and I think those two stamp sets make the perfect pair.

Happy creating.

Come Sail Away

I had the opportunity to attend OnStage in Minneapolis this month. These events are amazing! All the energy in that room is just incredible! It's always such a fun weekend. You get to meet fellow demonstrators, make new friends every time you go and come home with lots of inspiration and a bag full of goodies. One of the many perks is that you qualify to order from the Product Purchase Premiere. That means you get your hands on new product even before the preorder for demonstrators begins and you can start getting creative. Yeah!

The new Come Sail Away suite caught my attention right away.

Bursting with Color

The Hibiscus flowers in the "Humming Along" stamp set from the Occasions Catalog are so beautiful and just scream water coloring. I stamped the flowers using the masking technique and wet one petal at a time. Then I put a tiny amount of ink towards the center of the flower and watched it spread. So fascinating and soothing!

Tasty Trucks Birthday

Sale-a-bration time is my favorite time of the year! During this period you receive a free item of your choice from the brochure for every $50  spend (before shipping and tax). And who does not like free stuff? But hurry, the promotion ends March 31, 2017. There are sooooooo many cool things to choose from again this year, it's super hard to pick. One of the first things on my wish list was the Tasty Truck stamp set. It is so versatile for many occasions. I liked the idea of a birthday card and of course it had to have movable parts.

Rudolph's LED Nose

This card was a little more challenging but so much fun to make. I have recently discovered light-up cards using LEDs and I really wanted to create a card where Rudolph's nose shines red. The difficult part was hiding the copper tape and the battery. The card is mostly white so the few red elements including the red nose really pop. It has so many layers that give it a lot of dimension. I am super happy with how it turned out.

For the little bird I used the tree builder punch and cut a tiny triangle that I glued behind the head to make it look like a cardinal.

The shimmery effect from the Wink of Stella shows really well on the picture below. The battery switch is under the cardinal and watch what happens if you push on him:

Rudolph's nose starts glowing red!

O.K. now let's turn off the lights so we can really see it glow.

I wish you all Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by today!

Rudolph with Santa's Sleigh

Back in August Chloe Evans made a wonderful Z-fold card using the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits dies and stamps. I totally fell in love with that card and have wanted to case it ever since. See her original post here.

So I finally found the time to play around with it a little bit last week and here is the result. My take on this very creative card.

I have always loved coloring and with the coloring books becoming more and more popular lately I have practiced various coloring techniques over the last few month. For the reindeer on this card I used color pencils.

"LED" THE FIREFLIES GLOW

I have recently started to play with LED light up cards and I am totally hooked. And the Jar of Love stamp set is perfect for that. I had so much fun lighting up those little fireflies! The card is battery powered and when you push on the "light" button the little LEDs light up the card. How cool is that?

They already glow pretty well without turning off the lights.

But of course it looks way cooler in the dark.

Stay tuned for more. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy stamping,
