RUBBER BAND ACTIVATED 3D EASTER CART

This cart loaded with Easter eggs is another dress-up for the "3-D Rubber Band Activated Pop-Up Box". To see it in action click on the "play"-button of the video below. The stamp sets are from the Occasions Mini 2011. If you would like to make your own  you can find a tutorial here.

Rubber Band

3-D RUBBER BAND ACTIVATED EASTER CART TUTORIAL

For the wheel I stamped the outer ring of the left stamp and the inner part of the right stamp with Versamark on white carstock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Sponge with Sahara Sand over embossed areas and color with Basic Gray marker around the outer edge of the circle. Repeat for all four wheels and punch out with circle punch.

 Add Jumbo eyelets to the middle of the wheels.

 Make the body of the cart from white card stock. Sponge the edges with Sahara Sand.

 Punch four pieces of white card stock with the word window punch. Cut four stripes of white card stock, 1/4 inch wide, that are as long as the long side of the box.

 Assemble cart rails as shown in the picture and add silver brads. Glue wheels with dimensionals to cart.

 Cut  half an oval of Old Olive card stock as shown in the picture (it does not have to be perfect, it can't be seen once the card is finished). This is the base to which you glue all the eggs and the grass. Stamp about 35 to 40 eggs and cut out. Cut 1/8 inch stripes of Old Olive card stock and run through paper crimper for the grass.

 Glue eggs and green paper strips grass on the Old Olive base. Decorate front and back.

Cut out a 1/4 inch strip and punch a word window from of Basic Grey card stock for the handle. Stamp the sentiment, punch out with oval punch and sponge the edges. Assemble.

Eat Chocolate

I am just in love with this stamp set "Eat Chocolate" (121931 wood, 122006 clear) from the Occasions Mini 2011. It's so much fun to play with it. I used aluminum foil duct tape for the card that I got from a local hardware store because it already has a sticky back and is very easy to work with. The rectangles on the chocolate bar are scored with a bone folder. The card measures 3x6 inches.

It's a wonderful stamp set for many occasions. But hurry and sumit your order right away, stamp sets from the Occasions Mini are only available until April 30, 2011!!!

Butterfly Birthday

For this card I used the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die (118138), that cuts and embosses the butterflies at the same time. The card stock is Whisper White, Summer Sun (retired), Real Red and Tempting Turquoise. I also used different circle and scalloped circle punches.

It's Superbowl week so I decided to make a Superbowl candle.

To get the "G" on the helmet and for the Superbowl logo I taped tissue paper on regular printer paper with temporary glue and printed the pictures on it.

Kisses from the Bird Punch

And more Valentines Ideas......

For this card I punched the wings from the bird punch and snipped off about half of it, tossing the round part. For the little flags I stamped "hugs and kisses" on tissue paper. I attached the message to my chocolate kiss and then wrapped the cardstock (Chocolate Chip - what else could it be) in aluminum foil. For the silver border I used aluminum foil tape. The tape has a sticky back. I glued it on cardstock and then punched the border. I also stamped "Love" from the "Love You Much "set on the bottom part of the card.

RUBBER BAND ACTIVATED 3-D POP-UP CARD

In December 2010 Stampin' Up! had a contest for all demonstrators who signed up that year. The challenge was to create a card with only the content of the starter kit. I submitted the card above which is a rubber band activated 3-D card that folds flat and pops up when pulled out of the envelope and it turned out to be a winner.

I put together a tutorial including the pattern and detailed step-by-step instructions that you can download it here.

My apologies to all the people who have been waiting for the instructions. I was not prepared for the overwhelming success of this card. There was no tutorial for the box when I posted it, just my very used template with lots of confusing marks from when I developed it with my ruler, compass and calculator. So many people were asking for directions that it was absolutely impossible to manually email them to everybody. So I needed to set up a blog and write the tutorial which took me a little while. But now it's all done!
